WISE WOMAN: Jeslie Cordova of Colorado Heart Health Solutions does a free cholestrol check for Rita Chavez at last weekend’s Women’s Wellness event sponsored by the Women’s Wellness Center at Spanish Peaks Women’s Clinic in Walsenburg. The event, to encourage participation in the many programs and services at the center, was paid for by a targeted outreach grant. Guests enjoyed a heart-healthy meal catered by 7th Street Deli, a Zumba session led by Margarita Evans, door prizes, and informational presentations by Debbie Channel, Ellen Vigil, Celina Trujillo, and Elisa Ingoldby.
