Tranquillino Edweard “Frank” Sandoval, 70, of Walsenburg died February 27, 2018 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Frank was born on July 5, 1947 in Walsenburg, to Theodore A. and Alice M. Lopez Sandoval.

He graduated from Huerfano County High in 1966 and was a career veteran of the US Army from 1966 to 1986 serving in Texas, Louisiana, Vietnam, Colorado, Hawaii, and South Korea, receiving a Bronze Star, an Army Commendation Medal with Bronze Oakleaf Cluster, and Army Achievement Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4-Stars, an NCO Professional Deelopment Ribbon, a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, an Army Combat Infantry Badge, an Expert Rifle Badge M-16, and an Expert Mortar Badge.

After his extended Army career, Frank retired back home in Walsenburg.

Frank was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a pool club, car club, and Natural High Car Club. He loved to cruze and show his cars, play pool, and mostly spend time with his grandchildren.

Frank is preceded in death by his father, Theodore A. Sandoval, mother and father-in-laws, Lena and James Britt. He is survived by his wife, Kirsten Sandoval; mother, Alice Sandoval; daughter, Ranee Sandoval; two step-sons, Andrew and Angelo Quintero; five grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Nevaeh, Manolo and Noah Quintero; siblings, Elaine Borrego, Lillian (Leo) Medina, Larry (Sherri) Sandoval, Randy (Susan) Sandoval, Carol (Luis) Pacheco, Ted JR. (Robin) Sandoval,Robert Sandoval, and Christine Sandoval; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Rosary, 10:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Military Ritual by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.  Cremation to follow.
