HUERFANO — After recent information that Navajo Ranch has over 400 acres of designated parks, walking paths, and common areas, several of the ladies in the neighborhood went searching for the unmarked areas with the aid of plat maps purchased from the county. Early volunteers were members Marsha Boeck, Pamela Pierce, Navajo Ranch board member Deb Clements, president JC Copeland, and vice president Rich Clements aiding in the search that resulted in two common areas, two walking paths, a park, and a future archery range.

Initial markers were placed and discussion was centered on how to better mark these wonderful areas and walking trails. Plans are being made to find and mark the other trails and parks. Over 300 acres to go!
