Studio 909- hair care and more!

WALSENBURG- Connie Buckner has specialized in hair care for over 20 years.  She and her staff are celebrating their second anniversary as Studio 909 in Walsenburg on Fri. June 13 from 10 am to noon with an open house put on by the Huerfano County Chamber of Commerce.  Studio 909 is a full-service salon for women, men and children.  Mother and daughter are both cosmetologists.

    Buckner has had other businesses.  She had a food trailer which she took to shows across the country, and she managed the Loaf N Jugs in both La Veta and Walsenburg.  She now runs Studio 909 full time.  Buckner has been  licensed to do hair care in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Arizona and Colorado. 

    Her daughter, Snow White, also works at Studio 909.  White has been in the beauty care business for 26 years.  Besides hair care, she does skin care, manicures and pedicures. She is trained to treat specialized skin conditions.  She went to school  for her trade in Colorado Springs, and she has also trained with Peter Brandt, the man who created the hair style Olympic skater Dorothy Hamill made famous.   

    Sherry Beitzel is an independent contractor at 909 who specializes in services such as Ion Cleanse Detox, Laser and MRS Therapy.  Beitzel calls her business at Studio 909, “Inside Out Therapies.”  She heals  body, mind and spirit from the inside out.  She carries a line of Organic Wild-Crafted products, does cellular research and has a line of all natural make-up products called Naked Minerals.  She can work at Studio 909 or at your home.

    These talented ladies take appointments at 738-9909 and are located at 909 South Main.  The southwest interior and the professionalism of the staff create a pleasant atmosphere for customers.  Stop in for their anniversary celebration, enjoy some snacks and beverages, and find out more about their beauty services.
