Trinidad Miners soccer 2-1 over Ellicott

by Jose Archuletta

CALHAN — The Trinidad High School Miners traveled to Calhan, CO on march 13 to face the Falcons from Ellicott High School.

Tuesday was sunny but very blustery as both squads struggled with the wind. Ellicott tallied the only score of the first half. The second half saw the Miners control the midfield. This led the way for the tying goal scored by Allie Garduno. That picked up the intensity for the Miners. With one minute left in regulation, Lindsey Clark scored her second game winning goal of the season.

The Trinidad varsity soccer team has a home non-conference game vs. Pueblo Central on Tuesday, March 27 at 4pm.
