Seven Trigger All Stars

TRINIDAD — The Pecos League All-Star ballot count favored the Trinidad Triggers who will field seven of their stars this Monday when players from the northern and southern divisions meet in action at Fort Macey Park in Santa Fe. The first pitch is at 6:05 pm.

Selected as Northern Division team manager is Trinidad Trigger skipper Royce Holder. The selection includes two Trigger right handed pitchers, Christian Schneider who holds a 3-1 record and 5.24 ERA and Joe Robinson with a 4.25 ERA and 3-3 record. The other players selected include Caleb Baker who leads the Triggers in hitting (.444 batting average); Brian Frazier (.387) and leads the league with 17 home runs; Edmund Cheatham at short stop whose fleet of hands and great defense makes him the best infield player in the league; Erick Magee (.350) playing out field and Trevor Sealey who is batting .392 at second base. With seven players chosen, Trinidad is tied with Garden City for the most northern division team members selected. In the south, the Roswell Invaders had nine players chosen.
