Raton Tiger State Track Results

SANTA FE — The Raton Tigers competed at their state tournament two weeks ago and faced some tough competition. It was the end of a great season and for the two seniors, Autumn Archuleta who ran on the relay team and Nathanual Tarbox, who ran the short dashes and relay teams, it was the end of a successful high school career.

Kerrigan Weese placed third in the discus. She was the highest ranked Tiger of the day. Her throw of 98 feet came on her fourth attempt.

In the Boys 100M dash, Tarbox qualified for the finals with a preliminary race time of 11.87 seconds. In the final race in the 100M, he finished sixth with a faster time of 11.66 seconds. He also competed in the 200M dash and finished 10th in the preliminaries with a time of 23.89 seconds, but did not make the finals and also competed in the triple jump but fouled in his attempts and did not place.

In the Girls 4x100M relay, Raton was 11th with a time of 53.93 seconds. The team consisted of Montana Martinez (JR), Archuleta (SR), Sydnie Romero (JR) and Baylor Walton (FR).

In the boys 4x100M relay, Raton finished 11th with a time of 46.57 seconds. The relay team consists of Ismael Vargas (JR), Noah Rubio (JR), Corey Long (JR) and Tarbox (SR).

In the boys 4x200M, Raton finished 10th in 1:38.31 minutes. The team is comprised of Luke McGowen (SO), Vargas, Long (JR), and Tarbox.
