State Track Meet- Breaking News:
John Mall Panther, Garrett Quintana s is the 2016 State Shot Put champion with a personal best throw of 54 feet-2 inches. He bested Garett Gimble of Fowler who threw 49 feet- 0.50 feet. John Mall Panther Andrew Vigil came in 3rd with a throw of 48-04.75 feet, also a personal best. See Thursday’s paper for complete results. Quintana’s throw was 5 feet short of the state meet record. He has a chance in the discus today to three-peat in the discus.
Hoehne’s Jacob Yates is in the 110 Meter hurdles finals. La Veta’s Carissa Cárdenas placed 7th in the 2A girl’s discus.
