Unfortunately emergency related incidents occurring on school properties continue to command news media headlines and often result in tragedies. Trinidad School District #1 is committed to enhancing its  readiness capacity to respond to all types of emergencies and disasters by committing to the training of its staff as reflected in the accomplishment attained at its Middle School.
Additionally, Trinidad School District #1 is in the process of developing a formal emergency operations plan supported by its school resource officer, the Trinidad Police Department and all other first response agencies within our community. As the plan is developed, vetted and tested the overall readiness of all schools within the district will be improved and result in enhanced awareness and readiness should an emergency situation arise.
