TRINIDAD — Trinidad School District #1 wishes to acknowledge the collective accomplishment of all personnel at Trinidad Middle School including administrators, teachers and support staff for completing training from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through its National Incident Management System (NIMS). Every member of the Trinidad Middle School staff completed the on-line FEMA course and successfully obtained the NIMS certification.
Unfortunately emergency related incidents occurring on school properties continue to command news media headlines and often result in tragedies. Additionally, Trinidad School District #1 is in the process of developing a formal emergency operations plan supported by its school resource officer, the Trinidad Police Department and all other first response agencies within our community.
