Obituary- Michael Sheldon

Michael Sheldon 3-16-1965 ~ 1-29-2014

Michael Mason Sheldon, son of Edith Thach Sheldon and the late John Michael Sheldon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 29, in Denver, CO. Michael leaves his wife, Loretta Duggan Sheldon and three children; John Patrick, 16, Nancy Jeannette, 12, and Thomas William, 10. Also remaining are his mother, Edith, of Walsenburg; brother, William David Sheldon, of Denver; uncle, William Thach, (Karen Nossaman), of Denver; (Cinthia Wildfong) Denver; and cousins, Jason A. Thach, Denver and Rebecca C. DePirro, Miami, FL. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on March 16, 1965, Michael attended elementary and preparatory schools in Alamosa, CO. He attended one year of college at University of Colorado. He also successfully completed nearly a dozen independent classes in electronic technology and wireless comunications as well as two classes from which he

earned certification as an Emergency Medical Technician with paramedic status. Michael worked and learned his trade at several electronic technological positions including Intelligent Electronics, Corporate Express , (i)Structure, and Level 3 Networks. He established his own business in Walsenburg called Spanish Peaks Systems and contracted his services to Spanish Peaks Library District and to the City of Walsenburg. While working on a particularly difficult service offered by the City of Walsenburg for independent water sales, he developed a sales package that helped him get his most recent position working for McKesson Medical systems in Broomfield. Michael loved the outdoor environment and was competitive in single shot, black powder pistol competitions around the state and region. He enjoyed working with youngsters and coached summer ball teams. Michael will be sadly missed by friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: The Family of Michael Sheldon c/o Lori Sheldon @ 100 Capitol Hill Dr., Walsenburg, CO 81089. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walsenburg at 11 am on Monday, February 17th with a wake immediately following at Eagles Hall, 614 Main Street, Walsenburg.
