Louise T. Pope passed away at the home of her brother, Ed, and sister-in-law, Rose Marie, on October 5, 2014 at the age of 75. Born February 13, 1939 in Walsenburg, CO, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Baxter Pope; by her parents, Copio and Benita Pineda; five siblings, Irvin, Alice, Helen (Victor) Maes, Lee (Rita Gama) Pineda, and Frankie. She is survived by four siblings, Anita (Ben) Velasquez of Pueblo; John Pineda of Arkansas; Ed (Rose Marie) Pineda of Walsenburg; Patricia Martinez of Nebraska; sister-in-law Rita Pineda of Pueblo; and brother-in-law Victor Maes of California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity and her 4th of July weekends at the cabin. A memorial service and Rosary will be held at 10 am on October 11, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walsenburg, CO with Deacon John Luginbill presiding. Boies-Ortega Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
