Joe Porfie Archuleta 2-26-1938 ~ 2-21-2018
Joe Porfie Archuleta, age 79 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center-Extended Care Unit in Walsenburg, CO. He was born, February 26, 1938 in Walsenburg to Cirilio and Ofelia Archuleta.He worked for many years for the Huerfano School District. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his two sons, Joe Porfie Archuleta, Jr., and Larry (Amy) Archuleta; brothers, Olie Archuleta, Andy (Maggie) Archuleta and Leroy (Judy) Archuleta; and a sister, Lorraine Pacheco; grandchildren, Kara Archuleta, Aaron Archuleta, Lena Archuleta, Emilio Archuleta and Katrina Archuleta; two great-grand-daughters and one great grandson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Joe Porfie Archuleta, Sr., is scheduled for Friday, March 9, 2018 4-8 PM, Eagles Hall, 614 Main St., Walsenburg, CO 81089.
