Obituary Jack Williams

Jack Williams 12-20-1925 ~ 8-12-2014 Jack Williams, 88, longtime resident of Las Animas and Huerfano county, died August 12, 2014 at his home on Swink. Born December 20, 1925 in Oklahoma City, OK to Fred and Anita (Crowder) Williams, Jack lived most of his life on the family ranch near Walsenburg. After retiring, he moved to the Arkansas Valley. Jack was a cattle buyer, horseman, cattleman, airplane pilot, and auctioneer. His dream and love was working with windmills, horses and cattle, watching wildlife, and being on the land. He loved to water a dry country. Jack is survived by his children, Tim (Pam) Williams of Walsenburg; Doug Williams of Hill City, SD; Donna Sneller of Walsenburg; Lynda (Jamey) Streater of San Antonio, TX; brother Jim (Jo) Williams of Ordway; sister-in-law June Williams of Pueblo; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Lyle and Barney; his sisters Pat and Nell Williams; son Darrel Williams; infant son Dale Williams;

and infant great-granddaughter Taryn Corsair. Burial was at the family ranch east of Walsenburg.
