Gary Mark Lamme 6-14-1938 ~ 2-3-2018
Gary Mark Lamme passed away on February 3rd, 2018, at home in Glendale, Arizona, surrounded by his family.Gary was born in Walsenburg, Colorado on June 14, 1938 to Mary O’Byrne and Dr. Mark Lamme and grew up in Las Animas and Walsenburg, Colorado.
Gary graduated from Las Animas High School and then went on to attend Adams State University and Arizona State University.
During his life, Gary worked as the General Manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield on Colorado’s Western Slope and as a modular building designer and project manager.
Shortly after retiring, Gary joined the volunteer police academy in Glendale, Arizona where he finished his career doing something he particularly loved.
Gary met and married the love of his life, Kathleen (Kathy) Cluff of Hayden, Arizona in 1961.
He enjoyed building, woodworking, telling a joke and was always tinkering with cars.
Gary was always the first person to help a person in need whether it was taking his children’s friends into his home or donating time, labor and materials to repair homes for people in need.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Cluff; sister, Sue Allen of Colorado; and his children, Janet Parkes of New Mexico, Pamela Garver of Arizona, David Lamme of Washington, Jennifer Wudarski of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren.
He is beloved by his family, who miss him terribly.
