Belinda M. Galvez 5-26-1928 ~ 10-2-2014 At the age of 86, Linda Galvez peacefully left this earth to enter her heavenly home on October 2, 2014. Born and raised in Farisita, Colorado, Linda met her husband Delfino on the schoolyard. After his return from WWII, they married and started their family. A shining example of unconditional love, Linda had nine children, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great- grandchildren, and two great, great-grandchildren. She was a lover of music and the greatest cook of all times. Family gatherings were always filled with song and food. Though she was a quiet woman who never sought attention, she touched many lives and will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Delfino, son Donald, and daughter Mary. She is survived by her children Karen, Marcella, Phillip, Paul, David, Edward, and Leo, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great,great-grandchildren; and by her sister and brother, Jane and Frank. Memorial Mass will be at 12 noon, Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walsenburg, CO.
