LA VETA- The Re-2 academic awards banquet last week drew an enthusiastic crowd eager to cheer on students for a fine year’s work. Superintendent David Seaney started out the evening noting that La Veta’s school “is a great example of what kids can do when placed in the right environment.” He announced the high school honor roll students for the evening, noting that an impressive 13 of this year’s 25 graduates maintained a 3.5 to 4.0 GPA average over their four year high school careers, and that 19 of the 25 maintained a 3.0 GPA or above.
