La Veta FFA chapter update

LA VETA — On Thursday April 20th, the La Veta FFA Chapter held its annual end of the year banquet.

We kicked the night off with opening ceremonies from our officers. We then jumped right into awards, and between the seniors gave their retiring address. Then followed by a slide show from our executive committee. We ended the night with some words of wisdom from Mrs. Rheuby.

Finally we installed our new officers; Gus Andreatta, executive committee, Cavin McKay, sentinel, Brianna Ritchie, historian, Hannah Cordova, reporter, Hannah Andreatta, secretary, Jackie Watson, vice president, and Jaycee Lagow as our new president.

On Monday the 30, our milk quality, dairy cattle, and livestock evaluation teams competed at state in Fort Collins. In our milk quality team, Carson Miller and Alexis Topping placed bronze and as a team they had placed bronze. In our dairy cattle evaluation team Jaycee Lagow placed gold, Hannah Andreatta and Lexy Guadagnoli placed in silver as individuals. As a team they placed silver. For our livestock team Rachelle Andreatta and Clayton Watson placed in bronze and Jackie Watson placed in silver. As a team they placed bronze. Hannah Andreatta and Jaycee Lagow had received scholarships for the Animal Science Department at CSU Fort Collins.

We are so proud of our teams and individuals who went to state.
