TRINIDAD — In a moment to shine and a moment to inspire all Trinidad & Las Animas County kids to show off their talents and be proud of it, on Thursday, March 31,local elementary, middle school, and high school students performed to a packed house at the Trinidad Middle School auditorium, as part of the Trinidad Kiwanis Kids Key Club’s Annual Talent Show. The Trinidad High School band played as part of this annual event.
“This was such a great event for the kids! We had a successful night and really want to thank the students the parents cause without them and Kevin Crosby this would not be to happen,” Trinidad Kiwanis President Karen Malone said with a smile after the show last Thursday. “The Kiwanis Club loves this event, our Key Club is amazing, thank you all for an amazing night.”
Over 15 acts performed music, danced, and one even performed the “Cup Song.” That Hot Sound also made a special appearance.
“There was a lot of talent who worked hard, a great turn out for the show we raised some money of the Key Club and the Miner Band. Our high school students really are the ones who put this together,” added Kevin Crosby, a Key Club volunteer. “Our Key Club students really just took over the organizing of the show, it was the kids’ talent, work, and dedication that always makes this such a success and thank you to parents. Also a big thank you to Fred Vasquez who works at the middle and was a huge help. Thank you to school district one. We have some talented kids and they showed that tonight.”
