WALSENBURG — John Mall hosted their annual fine arts night on Monday, May 9. The cafeteria was filled with student art from the high school, fourth grade, and second grade. From towering paper flowers to glazed clay skulls to paintings, tissue paper designs, pencil sketches, and even powerpoint presentations, the talent of the Walsenburg students was on display for anyone in the community to see. In addition to the physical works of art, students from the John Mall and Peakview choirs and bands performed for the gallery attendants. Everything from songs from the 1950s to original compositions was performed on flutes, piano, saxophones, electric guitars, clarinet, and by voice. Photo and cutline
