CIMARRON, NM — The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau has begun an investigation into the apparent Super Bowl Sunday shooting death of a 20-year old Cimarron man.
Investigators were called to the community by Cimarron Police on Sunday, Feb. 5. The incident was reported at 7:20 pm and when local police arrived at an East Eighth Street location they found Joshua Ortega dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
No arrests have been made and no further information has been released.
