special to the World Journal WALSENBURG — Huerfano County Republican Committee Chairman Dennis Hoyt has resigned his position. In a special meeting Tuesday evening, Hoyt’s resignation was accepted with regrets and Debi Sporleder was elected chairman. In the general meeting, Sporleder appointed Virgillia Goodwin as Vice chair.
