Falcon Flash of December 7, 2017

by Mark Vialpando

GARDNER — Ms. Hanlon and Ms. Tanzy’s 5th and 6th grade students have been working very hard on a poetry unit recently. It’s obvious that they had a lot of fun and there may just be some budding poets coming out of Gardner School in the near future.

Check out a couple of their poems:

Take Care

by Jamison Colgan

My cousin and I knew

that there

was a place many trees grew.

I didn’t take care.

Next thing I knew

There was a branch in my hair.

Cheerful Talking

by Celestse Martinez

A bird chirping

so loud and clear

so beautiful and bright.

Happy loving chirps

from a bird,

chirps from one bird

to another.

Every bird, so very

happy and making

lovely noises.

The entire student body is also busy preparing for a presentation of “The Nutcracker” to be held at the school on December 21 at 6:30. Mark your calendars and come share in the fun!
