Falcon Flash

by Mark Vialpando

GARDNER — Time is moving quickly as we’re already half way through the 2017 – 2018 school year. Students at Gardner School continue to show up and work hard, as is evidenced by the perfect attendance and honor roll recipients for the second quarter of the year. It is obvious that these students are taking their education seriously.

On Monday, every classroom celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day in their own special way, honoring his life and contributions to the civil rights movement. Teachers were impressed by the students’ interest and interaction in classroom discussions. Winners of a writing contest related to this subject will be announced today and published next week. Testing, testing and more testing is the name of the game. Thursday, January 25, is the next testing day for the students. A confirmation form with each student’s assigned testing time was sent home and should be signed and returned to the school. Everyone is looking forward to a productive and fun second semester at “The Home of the Falcons.”
