ATTENTION: HUERFANO COUNTY residents: Tired of seeing camp trailers and storage containers being placed on properties and used as full time or part time residences? County road 520 & 620 to name a few. Some look like the aftermath of a hurricane. It’s against county code 1.16.02 and 1.12. They need a building permit with the intent to build a permanent structure per state and county codes. These are only a few of the codes they are violating. Are they dumping raw sewage on the ground? Has the property had proper prec test and septic system installed? The county does not allow tiny houses. Needs to stop. Please help by submitting a formal complaint and any pictures you can get to or go to the land use office in Walsenburg, which is the old train depot east of the county building on the east side of Main Street, and file one in person in writing. 04-1XU
