Chuckwagon Canopy

GARDNER- Diners at the 66th annual Gardner Chuckwagon Supper on August 2, 2008 will be seated under a new permanent pavilion.  Funds for the construction of the structure were provided through a donation to the Gardner Methodist Church property from the Alton Tirey estate. The Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church is the owner of the church and grounds and improvements are being made under their direction in conjunction with the Gardner Chuckwagon Supper Corporation and the Gardner Heritage Foundation.  The new pavilion will serve as a multiple purpose structure for use by groups for picnics, meetings or wedding receptions.

Serving of this year’s supper will begin at 2 pm and continue until 6 pm and the traditional Chuckwagon menu of roast beef, potatoes, corn, beans, cucumber salad, rolls, and fabulous home made desserts will be served.  Proceeds from the supper are used to help with Gardner community projects and to provide scholarships to Gardner area college or trade school students.
