1623 FLOOD HC Ksander flooding on CR 521

Every man is an island, unless you are Bo, or “what I saw on the way home from work on Monday.” All of Huerfano County was under flash flooding alert on Monday afternoon, June 6. George Ksander was attempting to get home at that time on CR 521 northwest of Walsenburg. Two new rivers were born… and Ksander was stranded for two hours on a new island formed of the hill between the two former arroyos. He had been out stormwatching and got caught. Bo Stevens was not so fortunate, as he attempted to ford the river, and above is the result. Pictured above: Carol at left, Bo at right. See the full video posted on the WJ Facebook or YouTube pages.
