A Day for Your Self by nurturing ladies at TSJC

by Colette M. Armijo

TRINIDAD — With spring now upon us, our community has become vibrant with a longing to go deeper within. Four thoughtful ladies picked up on this and came together, using their skills, knowledge, and experience to host a day dedicated to nourishing one’s self.

Coming from various walks of life and occupations within the Trinidad/Raton environment, Kelley, Susan, Hari Karan, and Kay realized through their interactions within the community that people were feeling a need for more. They were craving ways to become more educated in techniques that could be used to balance their current state of existence and lead to happier elevated lives. And here the idea was born for these four powerhouses to begin working together planning, developing and organizing ‘A Day for Your Self’.

Hari Karan Kaur, owner and teacher at Infinite Potential Yoga Studio in Raton, will open the day’s session in a very down-to-earth practical way which will prepare participants to recognize where they are in the ‘now’. In so doing, the environment will be created for all to receive the information they need to transition to where they would like to further propel themselves.

Her presentation “Prescription for Self-Love: Tending the Garden of Your Life” will guide participants through gaining an awareness as to healthy ways in which they can attract positive relationships.

A day overflowing with fun, knowledge, nourishment, and support for your own self care is being offered for the first time at the Trinidad State Junior College School of Massage on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 9 am – 4 pm. This time is perfect as it coincides with the spring equinox.
