3A: road to state

by David Tesitor

TRINIDAD — The Trinidad Miners boys’ team has been shut out this past week, losing their placements in the state rankings and, unless they have the best performances of their season, will likely be sitting out of the 2016 state tournament. Personal best times last weekend across in Primero have helped the Lady Miners place in the top 18. The Miners improved their time in the 4X400 Meter run by 9 seconds to move from 24th to 17th. This is one example of what a few seconds mean when it comes down to this last in the season. They are the only Miners the on track to qualify for state. All individual athletes reported last week have fallen below the top 20.
